Airport Passenger Screening Systems Market – Overview

Airport Passenger Screening Systems have become an unavoidable reality
of the aviation, due to the recent threats faced by this sector. Market
Research Future, a firm which specializes in market reports related to the
aerospace sector among others, published in its recent report on
Airport Passenger Screening
Systems Market
Research Report - Global Forecast to 2021 that
the sector is expected to grow at a CAGR of around 4.5% during 2016-2021. The
demand is expected to increase further following development of the screening
systems market.

Passenger screening is of vital importance to the aviation sector
mainly to protect passengers from untoward threats and to ensure safe
passage. Airport passenger systems have been in use since quite some time,
the intensification in the level of usage has been primarily due to terror
related incidences recently which has led to loss of life. Due to security
becoming one of the main issues related to air travel, airports have started
to employ screening methods to mitigate these issues which has led to the
development of a procedure that comprises of thorough passenger and baggage
checks.

These factor have prompted increased demand level for airport
passenger screening systems. The market is also highly influenced by one key
factor i.e. increase in the levels of passenger travel due to affordability
of air travel and rise in the number of flights that have to be processed.
The industry is also driven by the demand level created by passenger
screening devices that need to be replaced due to the wear and tear caused by
round the clock usage over an extended time period. Although the passenger
screening systems have a great level of demand, they can find their growth
limited due to lack of applications in other sectors where volume is not so
high.
