Alan Rickman magic'd a child fighting cancer cast in Harry Potter.

Who else but Alan Rickman? The talented actor taken from us too soon was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Severus Snape in the Harry potter movie series. Alan brought life to the character, made us despise Snape just as J.K. Rowling intended, then tore our hearts asunder and made us mourn for the character's passing as only Alan could.

Alan Rickman was extremely talented, and was known to be just as kind and generous offset. Rickman cut a vacation short to attend a co-star's play, Oliver Phelps (George Weasley) was given free acting lessons in return for an iPod MP3 player lesson and upon a set visit from ill children, Alan Rickman made one child's dream.

Jay was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, and was making a special visit to the filming set. Producer DuPre Pesman recalled that Jay wanted to be in the film.

“Alan looked at me, and he kind of went into his Snape-mode in costume, and said, ‘Why isn’t this child in the film?’” recalled DuPré Pesman. “Everyone had a good laugh, and Alan took him by the hand and put him into the crowd of kids as they were panning across. The back of him is actually in a shot.”

“Alan put him in, and it was from the back of the classroom looking over the backs of the kids,” she said.

The shot did not make it to final production of "The Prisoner of Azkaban," but ”[Jay] was there. He had a moment,” thanks to Alan Rickman
