“𝗜 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗱𝗼?!” ⁣

First let me say this…⁣

Just because you overeat time to time, doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you or that you have failed. ⁣

𝘐𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨.⁣

So welcome to the club! ⁣

During your journey, you’re going to “slip up” time to time and that’s okay… I actually believe it’s part of the journey! ⁣

Life events happen (birthdays, holidays, special events, etc) and it’s okay to enjoy yourself. ⁣

So what should you do the day after overeating? ⁣

Here are some things to do to insure the best success moving forward. ⁣

1. Get back to your 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗟 routine! No extra cardio, no under eating. That’s just going to create a negative relationship with food. ⁣

2. Remember that this is PART of the journey. Perfection isn’t required to get amazing results. So no stressing out, or wondering what’s wrong with you. You’re human and this is NORMAL.⁣

3. Don’t stress about the scale. If you hop on the scale and see it’s shot up a few lbs (some people can fluctuate up a lot!), just know it’s WATER WEIGHT. You didn’t gain multiple lbs of fat overnight. It’s just not possible. ⁣

4. Make sure you’re eating enough in general. If you find yourself to be starving daily, you may want to re-evaluate your calories. *Some* hunger while in a deficit is normal but you should not be constantly starving. Low calorie diets are not the answer and you’ll burn out quickly! ⁣

5. If you find this is a recurring thing for you, take a step back and look at your current routine/regimen. Are you waiting too long until eating? Are you getting enough protein and fiber to keep you full? Are you properly hydrating? Are you over exercising? ⁣

Just remember that you cannot undo all your progress in a day or two. ⁣

You DO NOT need to punish yourself for having a day or meal that puts you over.⁣

You will find yourself in a restrict/binge cycle with that mindset.⁣

In the grand scheme of things, a day (or even a few more) won’t make a difference in the long run.⁣

I always ask my clients “did you enjoy it? Yes? Awesome! Just get back on track.” ⁣

Enjoy it and move on 👏🏼
