AND THAT’S OKAY!!
I know most of you follow me for fat loss/body transformation advice.
And I love that you trust me for that information and I will continue to share to help you on your own journey.
But it’s also okay to accept your body, no matter what stage it’s in.
In the picture in 2015, I had lost 15 lbs already and was so excited.
In 2018, that was the leanest I got since starting my journey in 2015.
And now, it’s 2021 and I’m going through another stage of life: pregnancy.
Getting to that level of leanness in 2018 required A LOT of sacrifice.
Yes, I felt good and it was so amazing seeing what my body could achieve.
But I can’t say it’s a level of leanness I want to maintain always.
I’d rather have that extra 5-10 lbs on my body and be able to enjoy flexibility and life a little more.
That includes date nights with my fiancé, going out to eat with family, getting ice cream with friends..
Am I saying I will never get that lean again? No!
What I’m saying is it’s okay to go through different phases, chapters, and seasons of life.
It’s okay to be leaner at some points than others.
It’s okay to have a goal in mind you’re willing to put in all the work for.
It’s also okay to want to back off and enjoy life a bit.
And it’s okay if you’re body is changing for reasons out of your control (I.e. pregnancy)
It took me A LONG TIME to realize this.
I thought the best version of me would be the smallest version of me.
But over the years, the best version of me is the version of me that is confident, healthy, balanced, and happy.
And that doesn’t require a certain body fat %.
It’s realizing what’s really important in my life at different seasons.
This season I’m in is not requiring a lean version of myself.
And I’m still incredibly happy.
Happiness doesn’t come from losing a ton of weight.
You find it along the way in many other things.
You can be happy NOW. Not 5, 10, 20, 50 lbs from now.
𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 ≠ 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧.
I’m living proof.♥️
