A Georgia father has been charged with murder for the beating death of his newborn daughter. Authorities in Covington believe 27-year-old Christopher Michael McNabb killed Caliyah early Saturday morning and hid the body in the woods behind their home. Caliyah's mother, Courtney Bell, reported her missing. She told 911 operators she had last seen her 15 day old daughter around 5 a.m. when she fed her and changed her diaper. Caliyah's body was discovered the following day. An autopsy determined that the infant died of blunt force trauma to the head. According to the arrest warrant, the hit "seriously disfigured" Caliyah's skull and ultimately caused her death.

McNabb is charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery and concealing a death.
