Hot Springs, Arkansas

I wrote this song in 2015 about Arkansas. It's sad that we are still in the same struggle. But...I have hope for the future and I hope you do too. This is the transgender liberation movement. And with movements there is always backwards motion to have forward motion. Please have hope that this will all lead to the eventual liberation of the transgender community. To my LGBTQIA friends in Arkansas I am with you, I've been with you, I'm always with you. My heart breaks with you. I am standing in solidarity, alongside you. I will do anything in my power for our freedom. If you know of any way I can help further please contact me immediately. I have so much love for all of you. Here’s some lyrics from “Hot Springs, Arkansas” and the video is recorded in Arkansas.

"When I opened up my wild eyes this morning

I seen that goddamn bill had passed the house

Well I can’t live anywhere else, where I can’t be myself

So that idea of country living’s thrown right off the shelf

But they ain’t got no freedom movement

And I’m afraid I might end up in chains

I’d move if I’d blend in

Now that might be a sin

Sometimes I wish that I could just live oh oh oh oh

Sometimes I wish that I could just live"
