FDA approves new weight-loss drug. Wegovy – a semaglutide 2.4 mg injection administered once a week – is specifically for chronic weight management in overweight or obese adults with "at least one weight-related comorbidity," according to pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk. The drug, which is injected by the patient once a week, is intended to be used in addition to diet and exercise, according to Novo. A four-week supply of Wegovy, which is essentially four injections, will cost consumers around $1,300. Check out the link to read more about this.
