San Diego Florist Offers Unique Fundraising Program

Allen’s Flowers and Plants Offers the Helping Hands Program to Benefit Local San Diego Organizations

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. (July 23, 2014). Allen’s Flowers and Plants, a local San Diego florist with multiple locations and recipient of the Best San Diego Florist by the San Diego Union Tribune for four consecutive years, announced that it has a fundraising program called “Helping Hands.”  Helping Hands is designed to help local San Diego organizations, including schools, churches, and non-profit organizations.   

As part of the San Diego florist’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and commitment to its local community, the fundraising program offers a way to give something back to others in the local level, especially to those organizations that are also doing what they can to help or benefit the San Diego community and its members.

The program also provides an opportunity for customers to contribute to these organizations. Every time they make a purchase through the San Diego florist’s website and select the “Helping Hands” pull-down menu on the order form, they can select a participating organization that will receive a contribution. The current organizations enrolled include Solana Highlands Elementary School, Valhalla Foundation Cheer, Del Mar Sharks Soccer Club, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Congregation Beth Israel and Spina Bifida Association of San Diego.

For organizations interested in benefiting from these contributions, it is free to join. Allen’s Flowers and Plants provides identification cards that an organization can use to publicize their participation to encourage people to contribute. The donation checks from any orders that include a donation to that organization are sent directly to the organization’s treasurer at the beginning of each month. The donations can be used for anything that the organization wishes.
