Established in 1983, The LiRo Group has grown from a local resident engineering and inspection company to a full-service construction management, engineering, architectural and environmental services firm.
The LiRo Group specializes in everything from architecture and construction management to highly specific civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering services. These services are spread out among The LiRo Group’s five different business groups, which collectively offer its clients the comprehensive professional services to cover any project from initial conceptual design through construction completion.
“We do some projects that mean nothing to people and no one knows about to some very high profile projects,” says John Lekstutis, president of The LiRo Group. “These projects can range in budget anywhere between $10 million to $150 million and their work can be anything from sewage treatments in Yankee Stadium to massive transportation expansion projects. We kind of get involved in everything you can imagine and each project presents its own challenges.”
The LiRo Group’s remarkable growth can be attributed to its strong commitment to maintaining relationships with their clients long after a job is completed. A crucial aspect of maintaining those relationships depends on maintaining the strength of the staff.
“We’re now competing against companies whose personnel resources are in the tens of thousands,” says Lekstutis. “We’re the right sized firm. We’re big enough to have all these capabilities but small enough where our key people are on the jobs, at the site, making sure everything runs according to plan.”
