Cameron Maybin Called Up by Detroit Tigers, Faces New York Yankees Tonight
Tigers’ top prospect Cameron Maybin will be sporting a major league uniform for the first time Friday evening after Detroit called the 20-year-old centerfielder up from his double A Erie SeaWolves club.
Maybin has played just six games with the SeaWolves since being promoted from single A Lakeland it was hitting .400 after 20 at-bats. Of his 8 hits, 4 were home runs while collecting 8 RBIs as well.
Cameron Maybin’s father Rudy confirmed that his son would be in uniform for the Tigers game at Yankee Stadium tonight saying “He called last night and said, "I got the call!,"”
