Jamal makes his way through the first episode of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” and when it ends he is one question away from winning the Jackpot, a whopping sum of 20 million rupees.

Jamal proceeds to cooperate with the Police answering each question they ask as to how Jamal knows each and every answer on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” and is one question away from great wealth.
Jamal (Ayush Mahesh Khedekar Youngest Jamal) takes us back through his life and the lessons he has endured to prove his innocence.
Each question from the show leads us through the tragedies of Jamal’s troubled life along with his deeply disturbed brother Salim and his true love Latika.
As soon as the Police ask him to explain the first answer to the first question on the show Jamal takes us back in time. We are immediately introduced to his brother Salim (Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail Youngest Salim, Ashutosh Lobo Gajiwala Middle Salim, Madhur Mittal Oldest Salim) and his Mother who is on screen a short time leaving Jamal and Salim orphans at a very early age. Jamal then brings us to his one and only love of his life Latika (Freida Pinto).
Slumdog Millionaire is a love story embodied by the tragic existence Jamal experiences along with Salim and Latika. The memories span a period of approximately 14 years. As we sit and watch this beautiful film we realize these beings are so grown up and have lived so much life yet they are only 18 years old. This awakens your inner being.
To experience this film and watch it unfold it ripped at my core that this may be a movie but it was every bit real with the exception of the television show.
Children each and everyday are in cities like Mumbai being tortured and taken advantage of by gangsters only to be faced with a life filled with hopelessness some being turned into panhandlers, prostitutes and killers. Jamal refused to submit with the help of Salim. Jamal demonstrates to us all what we can become and go through as long as one never gives up.While Jamal chose one path Salim chose the other. Good versus Evil.
Slumdog Millionaire is the best film I have had the privilege to see in quite some time. When I left the film I racked my brain to think of films that have moved me with a sense of realism that Slumdog Millionaire did. I still am. It did not make me weep or laugh uncontrollably what it did was tell and amazing story without making me think it was attempting to manipulate me with cheap Hollywood theatrical special effects or silly lines that have no relevance other than to get me to chuckle. I like those movies too, but my appreciation for Slumdog Millionaire makes me wish we would get more of these and less Seth Rogen films. How many times can we really laugh at the same storyline and jokes?
Slumdog Millionaire is flawless it moves and brings back hope that maybe just maybe the movie industry every now and then can get one right.
Slumdog Millionaire is 4 stars across the board. This is the one to see for those who like film and for those who aren’t sure what a great film is see this so you'll know where to set your bar.
I hope the Academy gets this right and writes Slumdog Millionaire inside that envelope when it is opened on Oscar Night.
