"Head Rush" was commissioned by the Wando High School Band Boosters in honor of Scott Rush and his 15 years as Wando Band Director. "The commission was revealed to Mr. Rush at his final Wando Band Banquet in 2015, and was intended to be an expression of the appreciation that we the Wando Band parents have for the positive impact he made upon our students and families. As performances occur in the future (many no doubt conducted by Mr. Rush), we hope the piece will be a perpetual reminder of our profound gratitude" - Marshall and Lisa Forrester, 2013-14
