'Boardwalk Empire' Star Charged With Assault
Paz de la Huerta Faces Misdemeanor Charges
Boardwalk Empire actress Paz de la Huerta has been charged with assault for having allegedly attacked another actress, Samantha Swetra from the MTV series The City.
Paz appeared in criminal court on Tuesday. According to a report from TMZ.com, "the D.A. filed 5 misdemeanor charges against de la Huerta ... including two counts of 3rd degree assault, 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon, attempted assault, and harassment."
Paz allegedly threw a glass at Swetra and punched her in the face during a party on March 22nd.
According to prosecutors in the case, Paz was also trash-talking Swetra in the police station on the night of the alleged assault.
Prosecutors say that Paz said, "I'm a REAL actress -- HBO! She's a publicity seeker, a FAKE actress."
Paz is due back in court on May 19th.
