Four Bodies Found On Long Island Beach
Authorities discovered four bodies strewn along a stretch of Oak Beach in Long Island, New York. The first body was discovered Saturday while officers were searching for Shannon Gilbert, a New Jersey prostitute who was reported missing in May. She disappeared after arranging to meet a client on Fire Island.
The other three bodies, which were reportedly in different stages of decomposition, were discovered Monday. All four bodies were stuffed in bushes. Investigators believe the bodies may have been dumped on the beach by the same person over the course of about a month.
The medical examiner is working to determine their identities the cause of death. No other details were available.
