Smart College Career Moves: What You Can Do Now to Prepare, Market, and Sell Yourself to a Future Employer:
A Live Presentation
If you are anything like me, when I was in college, I dreamed of making a living doing something I loved. The good news is that I am. Sadly, of the 1,750,000 students who graduated in 2015, only 1 in 5 had a job waiting for them after walking off with their diploma. To add insult to injury, the average student loan payment for these graduates was $452. Yikes!!!
If you will soon be, or currently are, a college student, there is something you need to know RIGHT NOW: The more marketable you are, the higher your probability of getting a job you will love. This involves having a marketing mindset NOW, not when you are approaching graduation.
Fact: You will eventually have to market to and employer and then persuade them to hire you.
This is a process you cannot escape! Those who understand and use it to their advantage will use their college years to make themselves someone employers want and need.
In my book, Smart College Career Moves: What You Can do Now to Make Yourself More Marketable Later, I document the mindset you need to create right now, the attributes what employers are looking for, and the mistakes to avoid.
I created a live presentation for college campuses entitled, Smart College Career Moves: What You Can Do Now to Prepare, Market and Sell Yourself to Future Employers. This talk goes into greater detail with inspirational stories, facts, and examples about how can turn yourself into a top job candidate.
To bring this talk to your college or university, go to your Student Affairs or Student Activities Director and ask them to contact me at the following address: inquiry@michaeljruss.com.
