Mary DeArment is a Sarasota based artist who was identified by The Licensing Letter Daily Advisor (5-19-14) as an indie at the forefront of the trend to use words as design elements. Mary brings a local flavor to her featured collection of luxury silk scarves, choosing to work with (among others) the words SARASOTA and CIRCUS; Sarasota has an illustrious circus history and circus productions are still very much a part of the culture of the town. Other words and phrases from which Mary has created scarves are MOTHER/DAUGHTER, THANKS and HOPE.
