Today is PTSD Awareness Day, reach out to veterans you know and make sure they're ok.
These men and woman have witnessed that which no one should ever be made to see, at times they've been forced to take lives to ensure that lives back in the US are that much safer. PTSD is not something to be ashamed of, and these warriors whom hold themselves to a higher standard often believe admitting they're having trouble is a sign of weakness...they're supposed to be able to handle anything that comes their way.
PTSD is something that most often cannot be faced alone. Connect with your veterans, make sure they're alright and confirm with them that dealing with the horrors that many of them face is often the most difficult aspect of all.
