My favorite salad/salad dressing! I eat this literally every day even on the weekends because I love it so much. My body craves this salad. You can put whatever you want on it but I think the combo I do complements the salad dressing perfectly so I recommend it! •
The main ingredient in the dressing is tahini (ground up sesame seeds) and not only is it delicious it’s an incredibly healthy and beneficial food. Sesame seeds are a high energy food loaded with minerals. 1/4 cup of sesame seeds provides more calcium than 1 cup of milk, making sesame seeds great for bone health, weight loss, improved sleep, hormone production, cardiovascular health, smooth digestion, and optimal skin, hair and nail health. They also help to relieve inflammation, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, migraines, PMS, swelling and anxiety.
•Romaine lettuce •arugula •baked sweet potato, cut into bite sized pieces (after it’s baked)
•red onion, sliced
•grape tomatoes, halved •organic raisins
Dressing (one serving, although I usually make enough for the week and store it in the fridge)
•1.5 tbsp tahini •1-2 tsp coconut aminos
•1 small clove of garlic, minced (or garlic powder)
•juice of half a lemon
•1-2 tsp maple syrup •dash of cayenne pepper
Whisk it all up! (Or if you’re making a big batch, blend it) and pour it over your salad.
