Keep your face always toward the sunshine - shadows will fall behind you... and your very flesh shall be a great poem.

Walt Whitman, who would be 200 today, wrote those inspirational lines. Aside from all the beautiful poetry, brilliance, creativity, timeless insight to humanism, acceptance, and egalitarianism he left us, he literally left us in Jersey. Born a New Yorker, he punctuated a profound life in New Jersey. 
Not a documented quote, but when asked why he happily settled in Jersey (like our provisional poet Chef Paul) it’s rumored he eloquently remarked “the sun is so much f#%^’n brighter than Brooklyn!”
