Yes, I am using a pic pre-pregnancy because…duh 🤣
I’ll be very excited to share my postpartum journey with y’all as well!
Anyway, back to simplifying fat loss for y’all 😘
Let me give you 5 tips to help you not overcomplicate the process!
1. Eat balanced meals!
Pick 1 protein (try to make it lean!) Pick 2 carb sources (think one starch, one green veggie) Pick 3 flavors (1 fat source like butter, avocado, nuts/nut butter, olive oil, dressings, etc + 2 seasonings)
2. Lift weights 3-4 times a week.
Lifting weights is the driving force of changing your body composition. Cardio is a tool for fat loss, but not the most important. Think of weight lifting as the main dish and cardio as the side dish.
3. Eat 3-5 times a day.
Don’t overcomplicate this. Keeping a routine will be easiest. There is no “best amount of meals” for fat loss. But eating around the same time everyday does help with routine and consistency.
Walking is the most underrated form of movement! It’s easy to do anywhere, and people at all different fitness levels can do it. There is no such thing as “too little” when it comes to movement. Walking is amazing for you and your health!
5. Focus on mindfulness.
Whether that comes to your goals and intentions, or even food choices. Mindfulness is KEY. It’s easy to just go with what’s easy. The easy to choose fast food meal. Skipping your morning meditation or journaling. Not going to the gym cause you just don’t feel like it. Being mindful of our choices and how they affect our long term goals in the moment is crucial. Your instant gratification will alter your long term success.
No, fat loss isn’t actually about doing the most.
Doing the most is a recipe for burnout.
We already have enough on our plates, why add so much more?
More is not better.
Better is better.
And when we can get better at the simplicity of fat loss, you’ll be amazed at how much simpler fat loss is than you made it in the past.
There is no action too small.
Finding ways to make life less complicated is better.
Consistency > perfection
